Why early matters

Late is the hardest place to start.

In Nigeria, most cancers are found late, when treatment costs more, works less, and leaves fewer choices. It is seldom that the signs weren't there.

It's that no one had a simple, unalarming reason to look sooner. Kiyesi is that reason: a calm first check you can do today, on the phone in your hand.

How it works

Three steps. About three minutes.

STEP 01

Answer a few questions

Your age, family history, everyday habits, and anything you've noticed. Nothing invasive, no medical jargon.

STEP 02

Get your risk level

A plain reading, lower, moderate, or higher, worked out by AI from established clinical risk models.

STEP 03

Know your next step

One specific, doable action: keep watch, book a screening, or see a doctor now, with the reason behind it.

What you get

A result you can actually use.

No score without meaning. Every check hands you three things, in plain language, plus what to carry into a clinic.

Risk level
Moderate
Where you sit today, for your age and situation: lower, moderate, or higher.
What drove it
The two or three answers that moved the needle most, so the result never feels like a black box.
Your next step
A specific action and a timeframe, matched to your level: watchful waiting, a screening, or a doctor's visit.
At the clinic
What to ask for, so a short visit goes further. Bring your result with you.

What it's built on

AI, guided by established clinical risk models.

Kiyesi's AI works from peer-reviewed cancer risk research, the same age, family-history and lifestyle factors clinicians use to decide who to screen and when, applied to your answers and considered for the realities of care in Nigeria.

Kiyesi is an awareness tool that points you to the right next step. It does not diagnose, and it does not replace a doctor.

The bigger picture

Finding cancer earlier is a global goal.

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 sets a target, 3.4, of cutting premature deaths from non-communicable diseases, cancer among them, by one third by 2030, through prevention and earlier care.

In Nigeria and across Africa, cancer is most often found at a late stage, and the World Health Organization projects the region's new cancer cases could nearly double by 2040. Anything that helps people act sooner is part of closing that gap.

UN SDG target 3.4 One third fewer premature deaths from non-communicable diseases like cancer, aimed for by 2030.
Africa, by 2040 About 2× the projected rise in new cancer cases, per WHO and its cancer agency, IARC.
Today in Nigeria Mostly late the stage at which cancer is most often diagnosed, when care is hardest.

Questions

Good things to ask first.

Is Kiyesi a cancer diagnosis?

No. Kiyesi estimates your risk and points you to a sensible next step. Only a doctor, with proper tests, can diagnose cancer.
